"I Can Express Myself" is a Comenius 2013-2015 project.

The project “I can express myself” aims to encourage the pupils and teachers in the social-emotional development field which is the one of the most important development fields for kindergarten age children. At this period, a child has not developed the ability of defining emotions and expressing them properly in a right place, and the correct understanding of others’ emotions and needs, in other words the ability to emphasize.

In each school the children at kindergarten age will have pleasant activities such as art, drama, artistic work sheets, stories, music, cartoons and parent’s training. Academic development is prioritized in the curriculum. However, it was proved that some people having high cognitive intelligence did not have similar success in their school, family, social and working life. We come across with Emotional Intelligence (EQ) at this point.

Our partnership will be based on giving opportunity to preschool teachers to experience in different cultures different and beneficial practices on the subjects of defining and showing emotions, raising children having high emotional intelligence. These practices performed by kindergarten children who have not developed wrong behavioral patterns may support raising more peaceful and productive adult generation in the future. We foresee that our project will be beneficial for pupils and handicapped, immigrant, traumatized pupils having special conditions.

The documents (booklets, video, works of art, etc.) will be disseminated in the native language and in English. Certain key words will translated into the partnership languages to create a multilingual dictionary. The project will raise awareness about European languages and will encourage children to learn them.

“Princess Louise”

Once upon the time, there was living a beautiful princess named Louise. SHE WAS LIVING in A small castle, by the Vistula River. One day her mum and dad told her that they had a preSent for heR. The girl was curious what could it be. BUT WHEN SHE NOTICED A Little bundle, SHE FOUND OUT… IT WAS A SMALL INFANT BOY. HIS NAME WAS ALEX.
AT FIRST LOUISE WAS HAPPY WITH HER BROTHER, BUT AFTER SOME TIME SHE STARTED FEELING SAD AND LONELY. SHE SAW THAT HER MUM SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH ALEX, BECAUSE SHE WAS FEEDING HIM, CHANGING THE NAPPIES AND CARRING HIM. LOUISE’S DAD TRIED TO CHEER HIS DOUGHTER UP. HE WAS PLAYING WITH HER AND TAKING TO INTERSTING PLACES. BUT LOUISE MISSED HER MUM SO MUCH…
ONE NIGHT, WHEN THE MOON WAS FULL AND THE PRINCESS WAS FALLING ASLEEP, SHE FELT THAT SOMEBODY PULLED HER HAIR. THE GIRL WAS AMAZED AND FRIGHTENED. SHE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. SHE OPENED HER EYES QUICKLY AND NOTICED A LITTLE SHINING FIGURE WITH WINGS. THAT WAS A TEETH FAIRY. THE FAIRY ADVISED LOUISE NOT TO BE JEALOUS ABOUT ALEX, BECAUSE MUM LOVES HER VERY MUCH AND WHEN HER BROTHER WILL GROW UP AND STARTED GOING ON HIS OWN FOOT, HE WILL BE A GREAT PARTNER IN PLAYING.
THE DAYS WENT BY… THE BOY WAS GROWING UP AND MORE OFTEN PUTTING ATTENTION ON LOUISE. WHEN HE SAW HER, HE WAS WAVING HIS HANDS, BABBLING AND SMILING. THE GIRL WAS LEARNING HIS BROTHER HOW TO DRAW, PLAY BALL AND PLAY GAMES. SHE WAS ALSO TELLING HIM FAIRY TALES AND SINGING. IT GAVE THEM BOTH A LOT OF JOY.
THE FAMILY WAS SPENDING A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER AND MUM WITH DAD WAS GLAD THAT THEIR CHILDREN COULD PLAY TOGETHER.

THE WHOLE FAMILY WAS VERY HAPPY AND LOUISE WAS PROUD OF HER WONDERFUL BROTHER.

“ladies and gentleman, this is BOBCAT”
IN A SMALL AND YELLOW HOUSE THERE WERE LIVING MUM, DAD, TWO LITTLE BOYS AND TWO LITTLE CATS – A BLACK AND A RED ONE. BLACK CAT WAS VERY POLITE AND OBEDIENT WHILE THE RED ONE WAS STILL ROUGHHOUSING. THIS RED CAT WAS CALLED BOBCAT. he LIKED GRAPPLING WITH PEOPLE, STEALING BOYS’ DINNER AND HIDING THEIR TOYS UNDER THE COUCH. BOBCAT WAS A LITTLE DEVIL BUT EVERYBODY LOVE him. AROUND THE HOUSE WAS A HUGE GARDEN, WHERE BOBCAT LIKED RUNNING, EATING GRASS, DIDDLING BUTTERFLIES and BEES.
ONE DAY, OUTSIDE THE HOUSE, BOBCAT NOTICED A TINY, GREEN FROG. THIS SIGHT THREATENED HIM, because HE HAD NEVER SEEN it BEFORE. the frog was also afraid and started running away. curious and joy eager bobcat followed the frog. He wanted to know where it lived and how it exactly looked like. he was such interested, that he forgot about his house. finally, the frog jumped into the pond and the cat figured that he lost his way back home. he looked around, but he completely didn’t know where he was. the sun was going down so Bobcat lied down under A BUSH and fell asleep.
IN THE MEANTIME AT HOME, THE BOYS WAS CALLING BOBCAT FOR A DINNER. THEY STARTED TO WORRY ABOUT HIM, BECAUSE IT WAS GETTING DARK AND HE STILL DIDN’T COME. BOYS’ MOTHER TRIED TO CHEER THEM UP, SAYING THAT HE PROBABLY WENT FOR A WALK AND IN A MINUTE WOULD BE BACK, BUT ACTUALLY SHE WAS also WORRIED ABOUT him. NEXT DAY, IN THE MORNING bobcat STILL WASN’T AT HOME. THEY ALL WERE SEARCHING him. THE BOYS WERE SO SAD AND WORRIED THAT THEY EVEN DIDN’T WANT TO EAT BREAKFAST.
WHEN BOBCAT WOKE UP UNDER THE BUSH, HE FELT COLD AND HUNGRY. HE WOKE UP AND WONDERED FOR A WHILE WHICH WAY SCHOULD CHOOSE TO GET HOME. SUDDENLY HE HEARD FAMILIAR VOICES CALLING “BOBCAT, PUSS, PUSS”. HE RUN UP QUICKLY HEADING THE PLACE, WHERE THE VOICES WERE HEARABLE AND AS HE WAS RUNNING FOR AN INSTANT, OVERLEAPED A FEW BUSHES… HE FOUND BY ACCIDENT THE RIGHT PLACE, LANDING IN HIS GARDEN. WHEN THE BOYS SAW HIM, THEY WERE SHRIEKING OF HAPPINESS. BOBCAT WAS ALSO JOYFUL AND HE WAS PURRING ENDLESSLY. THEY WERE ALL RELISH THAT THEIR LITTLE AND ROGUISH KITTY CAME BACK HOME. FROM NOW ON BOBCAT HASN’T BEEN INTERESTED IN FOLLOWING BY FROGS ANYMORE.

                                                       “THE KITE”

EDDY’S FAVOURITE OUTDOOR PLAY WAS KITE-FLYING, WHICH HE PRODUCED WITH HIS DAD.
ONE DAY, WHEN IT WAS WINDY AND FLYING A KITE WAS RISKY (KITES ESPECIALLY LOVE TREES AND THEY LIKE TO BE HUNG ON THEIR TOPS) UNRULY EDDY’S KITE FOUGHT OVER THE FENCE OF GARDEN AND STOPPED ON MR. LEO’S OAK. EVERYBODY IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD KNEW THAT MR. LEO DIDN’T LIKE CHILDREN AND HE HAD A THREATENING AND STILL BARKLING DOG. EDDY THOUGHT WHAT SHOULD HE DO AND HOW TO GET IT BACK. HE KNEW THAT HIS KITE WAS INANIMATE BUT HE LOVED IT AS IT WOULD BE A HUMAN BEING.
THE BOY found the courage TO RANG THE NEIGHBOUR’S BELL. MR. LEO OPENED THE DOOR AND EDDY NOTICED A THREATENING DOG SEATING NEAR NEIGHBOUR’S LEG.
-          WHAT HAPPENED? – ASKED ANGRILY MR. LEO.
-          EXCUSE ME, MAY I COME IN TO YOUR GARDEN, BECAUSE I’VE…
-          TO MY GARDEN?! NO-ONE HAS A RIGHT TO ENTER MY GARDEN! - SHOUTED AMAZED MR. LEO.
-          I UNDERSTAND – REPLIED POLITELY EDDY – BUT THERE IS MY KITE ON ONE OF THE TREE…
-          A KITE IN MY GARDEN? – MR. LEO WAS surprised.
EDDY THOUGHT THAT RIGHT AWAY HE WOULD HEAR AN ANSWER “REKS, MY DOG LIE ON GUARD AND DON’T LET ANYBODY TO ENTER MY GARDEN”. BUT HE WAS WRONG. MR. LEO REPLIED:
-          A KITE? i haven’t seen any kite for aGES. i live here alone, BECAUSE my children live far away from here and they hardly ever visit me - sad dully mr. leo… - all right, run and take your kite. but only on consider that you will be visiting me… and we will be flying a kite together - whispeared mr. leo in boy’s ear.
since then, eddy have been visiting mr. leo every day. they spend a lot of time together on flying a kite and they have a great fun. even reks seems to be happy.
kites like to wander its own roads and first of all they like breaking tough hearts.
